That’s definitely the case here. The blurb centers on two people named Elise and Niall, but our narrator Elise doesn’t meet Niall until. It's named Vanilla, but the premise is a domme who meets a non-lifestyle (or vanilla) guy. So you assume that it will be an intriguing story of her winning him over to her tastes. Well, you know what they say about assuming. Vanilla is an intriguing story where the heroine prefers to dominate men and the hero is used to being on top. Elise is very much a multidimensional character and not a stereotypical domme. Megan Hart yet again brings main and secondary characters who seem very real with their complexity and imperfections.
